Centella asiatica extract powder contains a variety of triterpenes, including α-amyrinol structure. The main ingredients are madecassoside and madecassoside, which are brown to white fine powder in appearance and slightly bitter in taste. It has excellent effects on treating damp-heat jaundice, heatstroke and diarrhea, sand and blood, carbuncles and sores, and injuries from falls.
Centella asiatica has a medicinal history of more than 2,000 years in my country. Many other countries and regions, such as Madagascar, South Africa, India, Southeast Asian countries and South America, also use Centella asiatica as a brain tonic, diuretic and treatment for leprosy and ulcers. Auxiliary medicines and dermatological medicines. Centella asiatica is listed in the pharmacopoeias of China, France, Spain, Mexico, India, the Netherlands, Venezuela and other countries. Centella asiatica extract is the whole plant of Centella asiatica (L.) Urb. of the Umbelliferae family. Commercial extracts are usually standardized to contain 9% asiatic acid. Note: Centella asiatica standard extract specifications: asiatic acid 29% ~ 30%, asiaticoside 40%, madecassoside 29% ~ 30%, madecassoside 1% ~ 2%.

Extraction Method

1. Extraction And Separation Test Of Centella Asiatica Total Glycosides
Centella asiatica (whole plant) is extracted with 75% ethanol. The extract is passed through the liquid and concentrated under reduced pressure until there is no alcohol smell. Extract with a little petroleum ether to remove the chlorophyll. The concentrated liquid is passed through macroporous resin, first washed with a small amount of water, and then washed with 50% Elute with ethanol, concentrate the eluate, and dry under vacuum. Dissolve the dried product with a little distilled water. Use concentrated hydrochloric acid to adjust the pH to 3 to 4. Precipitate some weakly acidic substances. Add chloroform for extraction to remove fat-soluble impurities. Add concentrated ammonia to adjust the pH to 3 to 4. 6 to 7, and then extract three times with water-saturated n-butanol.
