An ultrafiltration device is a membrane separation system designed to remove suspended solids, macromolecules, and microorganisms from fluid streams. Constructed typically from polysulfone or polyethersulfone membranes, these units adhere to ISO 16270 standards for pore size uniformity and hydraulic performance.
Operators must strictly control inlet pressure and temperature to prevent membrane compaction or physical damage. Routine chemical cleaning (CIP) is required every 48 hours to mitigate fouling. Membrane modules should be replaced annually or when permeate flux drops below 70% of initial capacity to ensure product purity.
