In early 1990s, Hong Kong United Laboratories Co., Ltd. entered mainland China and established Zhuhai United Laboratories Co., Ltd. In 1994, United Lab China Marketing Division was established and staffed a young and high-quality team with abundant marketing-related knowledge and expertise, and over 20 offices were opened in large and medium-size cities nationwide, stretching the sales network to every corner in China. In 1994, Zhongshan Preparation Factory was established, which comprises a preparation factory, an API factory and Kingly Capsules Factory, wherein the preparation factory occupies an area of 60,000 m2, and API factory 250,000 m2. In 1998, Zhuhai API Factory was completed. Occupying an area of 250,000 m2 with a greening rate of about 40%, it is a large-scale modernized and high-technology synthetic pharmaceutical enterprise mainly engaged in the production of semi-synthetic antibiotic APIs and passed the national GMP certification in July of the same year. In 2003, Chengdu United Labratories Co., Ltd. was established and the "medical intermediate" production site was set up. In 2006, the amoxicillin workshop became the first workshop in China that passes German GMP certification. In 2007, the plant of The United Laboratories (Inner Mongolia) Co., Ltd. was built up and put into production. On June 15, 2007, the United Laboratories International Holdings Limited was listed on Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In 2010, the recombinant human insulin developed by United Lab obtained the production approval of China Food and Drug Administration and was marketed successfully in the trade name of USLIN. In July 2011, United Lab "Amoxy" was recognized as the national famous brand. At 16:08, April 15, 2013, Mr. Cai Jinle, a famous industrialist, founder of United Lab and Board Chairman of The United Laboratories International Holdings Limited died from disease at Hong Kong Union Hospital at the age of 72. In June 2014, the United Lab established the sixth wholly-owned subsidiary, Jingui Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. amid its efforts to explore the field of veterinary medicinal products. On April 6, 2015, The United Laboratories (Inner Mongolia) Co., Ltd. passed the site inspection by FDA. On May 13, 2017, the insulin glargine USLEN was put on the market.
