Tea tree (Camellia sinensis) is a shrub or small arbor of the genus Camellia in the Camellia family. Green tea is made from unfermented new leaves or buds of tea trees through multiple processes. Green tea retains the tea polyphenols, catechins, chlorophyll, caffeine, amino acids, vitamins and other nutrients in the fresh leaves. Drinking green tea regularly can prevent cancer, lower fat, lose weight, and reduce the nicotine damage suffered by smokers.
Green Tea Powder is a fine particulate extract derived from Camellia sinensis leaves via steam fixation and grinding. The primary active constituent, Catechin, has the molecular formula C15H14O7 (CAS No. 121-82-4).
Store in cool, dry conditions below 25°C to prevent oxidation. High-dose ingestion may cause hepatotoxicity; industrial handling requires respiratory PPE.
