PULLULAN Application in Pharmaceutical industry

Pullulan (CAS: 9057-02-7) is a water-soluble polysaccharide produced via fermentation of starch by the yeast-like fungus Aureobasidium pullulans. Its molecular formula is (C18H30O15)n, characterized by an alpha-(1,4)-glucan backbone with alpha-(1,6) linkages.
Store in cool, dry conditions below 25°C to prevent microbial degradation. Avoid inhalation of dust; wear appropriate PPE during handling. Not suitable for parenteral administration without specific purification.
